Hello . I hope you enjoy this week's tip: "How to get an extra hour a day."

Most people I meet complain about not having enough time. So here is a really simple and relatively easy way to give yourself an extra hour in your day.

Get up an hour earlier.

Almost everyone I talk to tells me that they think more clearly and are much more productive in the morning than at the end of a long day at work. Even those that love social activities at night agree they are more effective in the morning than after 8-10 hours of work.

But how will I cope with less sleep?" my clients ask. And I tell them what those who have tried this tell me -- that they go to bed a little earlier and they sleep much better! .......... so they actually have more energy.

Use your "extra hour" to do something that is highly important, but you currently can't find the time to do. You could do some creative or strategic work. You could do some exercise. You could even work from home one day a week and then take your kids to school.

The BENEFIT of getting up an hour earlier is that you have an extra hour when you are most effective and creative. An important strategic or creative activity that takes an hour in the morning takes 3 or 4 hours in the evening (and probably is still not as good).
