Hello and welcome to this week's short time management tip that reveals What not to do when you need more time.

It will take you only 47 seconds to read this email. Here is your time creation tip for this week.

Time Management Tip

What not to do when you need more time.

Let's face it, we live in an information over loaded world. The internet, email, TV and mobile phones mean we have more information coming at us than ever before. This puts massive pressure on our time.

Most leaders I talk to tell me there is so much 'data' and so many interruptions they could work 24 7 -- and still not get to everything!

So this requires a completely different mind set on time management. Today effective use of your time must start with making time for your most important tasks. Not the urgent, not the interruptions -- the most important.

Then you must decide what not to do.

You cannot get everything done. So you must decide what you will stop doing and what you will not do. You will be amazed at how much your stress levels go down when you make a decision about what not to do.

"The difference was almost unbelievable," Lisa told me after she started deciding what not to do. "The crazy thing," Lisa explained, "was that there was always heaps of stuff I did not do, but because I kept trying to do everything, I didn't give enough time to the most important things."

"If things are not going to get done, I might as well make that decision myself, instead of running out of time every week."

What will you decide not to do?

Have the time of your life this week.
